Catching the Fishing
Open Pacific Runnin Baby
Truly the untapped Nicaraguan coastline is the newest and most exciting fishing frontier. Morning or evening trolls to unforgettably wild spots is how we stay out of the office. There’s never a dull moment between the jigging, trolling and bottom fishing so be prepared for the full Nicaraguan fishing experience. So always remember you’ll keep tight lines and screamin drags here with us at Colorline charters.

An extreme fishing expedition!

Tin Tin is a 27foot Super Panga nic named El Tibarone [the shark]. Casted in Granada and put together by long time fisherman and Captain Rob Plath from Florida this Panga is set up to catch fish.  Outfitted with all the latest gear and safety devices Colorline charters offers the realest of fishing experiences.  Heading west into the big Pacific’s horizon in search of the color lines is where we start. Blues, greens with turquoise and café is one of the many indicators we use to track down the fish of the season.  Spotting for Dolphins and Turtles we do our parts to maintain stability in our local eco systems to ensure a pristine future. Here at Colorline Charters we are in compliance with Bill Fish Foundation regulations and practice the catch and release of Billfish with all circle hooks. We are expanding into the tagging programs to locate, track and log the fish we catch together. We also spot cast for some of the biggest Rooster fish in the world for that loaded bonus. So always remember you’ll keep tight lines and screamin drags here with us at Colorline charters.

Sailing

Our catamaran adventure is one of our finest offerings at GiganteBay. Our sailing catamaran is kept in Bristol condition, and crewed by knowledgeable, friendly and safe sailors who are ready to share their local knowledge of Nicaragua’s pristine and dramatic coastline. Twice daily we depart from Gigante Bay with raised sails and a cold beverage in hand. You will be put at ease by good music and waves lapping at the hulls. Dolphins, whales and turtles abound as we enter our snorkel adventure spot to explore what lies beneath. Fresh fruits and appetizers await upon your return, as do limitless beverages as we sail towards the sun and one of our stunning sunsets. Truly a memory maker, Gigante Bay’s catamaran adventure is a must while you’re here.

    Rappelling

Rappelling the 90 meter Gigante foot is a thrill not be missed. Our California climber certified staff safely attaches you to a inverted decent over the water and jagged coast line. The brisk hike to the top is both invigorating and refreshing, with a view from Popoyo to Costa Rica. There are some smaller rappels for the less daring (but also less exciting!). No group is too big or too small, we can always go for an adventure ... and if you're feeling real daring, then you can try out our night rappel.

    Horse riding

Riding educated horses through mountains with a incredible ocean view is one of the highlights for the most of our visitors. Riding on small forgotten trails and being one with your horse and the nature is a expirience what let your vacations be unforgetable. In the nature you can see diferent species of birds, iguanas, monkeys and sloths. Finishing your trip riding trough the beach in the sunset let you feel like in your dreams. We can offer horse trips for groups up to 6 persons. Any particular desire is a task for us.

    Massage

Nothing beats an after surf massage to wind down and relieve those sore muscles, so you can get out there and do it all again tomorrow! Allow our professional masseuse to work her magic and enjoy a relaxing massage whilst listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean. A luxurious experience but with a Nica price tag, the massage is an essential part of a perfect day in Gigante Bay.

    captains-forecast
So far October has proven to be sunshine and 4-6 foot surf, gentle off shores and perfect wind for sailing. October is for the daring. Those who choose to discard annual patterns of weather, take a chance at sunshine and blue skies!
We’ve just purchased four resident horses for horseback riding beach tours. October is the month for the night, to go repelling in the dark. October is the month for music as two bands have been sponsored by Tona to rock the house at the Crowbar. Ladies night Monday. $10 Tuesday sunset sails. Open mic Wednesday night. Salsa night Thursday night. Friday night pizza night. Plus we’re making sushi! We have discounts on all our rooms.
Stopping by Gigante Bay is a must for the month of October. It’s the original family doing our original thing and having more space to do it.
